Nonna Lia is a fast-growing Italian eating establishment catered to savvy customers with a premium taste. Over the past 4 years, our team has expanded to 30 people, with products sold in 10 locations across the GTA. Today, more than 10,000lb of desserts are made and sold in our kitchen every single month.
Summary
We are seeking a General Manager to join our management team. In this role, you will report directly to Nonna Lia's founder to grow sales, improve profitability, and ensure high satisfaction among our customers.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will work directly with the CEO to lead a wide range of operational and sales activities, as outlined bellow. You will have a direct impact on 30+ employees, with at least 2 to 10 direct reports.
Operations and Infrastructure
- Leading daily operations, staff management and training
- Improving quality control, productivity, performance, and customer satisfaction
- Implementing inventory management processes, monitoring supplies, and interfacing with suppliers as needed
- Monitoring and improving overall cleanliness, presentation and upkeep of the premises
- Ensuring timely financial processes, such as bookkeeping, payables, receivables, and 3rd party refunds
- Managing the overall effectiveness of customer service processes, including customer orders, phone calls, emails, and troubleshooting issues as they arise
- Leading performance in our store network and sales channels (e.g. website, 3rd party apps, etc.)
- Ensuring outmost compliance with all health and safety regulations
Sales and Growth
- Leading internal and external stakeholders to implement our marketing agenda, promote our products and brand, and grow sales
- Implementing initiatives to manage our reputation across physical and digital platforms
- Capturing business development opportunities in both the B2C and B2B space
- Playing a leading role in managing or expanding our stores and product line up
- Launching initiatives to execute our overall brand vision and guidelines
- Contributing actively to the refinement and execution of our overarching company strategy
Requirements
- 5-10 years experience executing projects in fast pace environments
- Proven experience in a managerial role (senior) with 5+ direct reports
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding ability to execute projects and problem solve
- Ability to work with the Microsoft Suite
- Knowledge of the food industry is an asset
- Experience in building teams or start-up environments is an asset
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- G-license holders preferred
