Position Overview
We are currently seeking a high-performing and discreet Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our Canadian HR team. Based in Mississauga, this role supports employees across multiple business units and functions. It requires a balanced focus on strategic HR consulting and operational delivery. As a member of a tight-knit and collaborative HR team, you will work closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders to address key people priorities. The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor with broad HR experience, capable of navigating a complex, matrixed environment while ensuring employee experience, compliance, and performance remain top of mind.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees and people leaders.
- Lead and support initiatives in talent acquisition, onboarding, and orientation.
- Support and guide employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and performance coaching.
- Advise managers on policy interpretation, HR best practices, and employment legislation.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to implement workforce strategies and change management initiatives.
- Contribute to compensation reviews, benefits administration, and employee recognition programs.
- Ensure alignment with local labor laws, health and safety regulations, and global HR policies.
- Manage HRIS administration, reporting, and process improvements (experience with Workday or SAP an asset).
- Collaborate with global teams on HR projects related to learning & development, diversity & inclusion, and organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- CHRP designation or equivalent preferred.
- 5-8 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a multinational, matrixed organization.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and Canadian labor law.
- Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Proven ability to manage complex, sensitive HR issues with discretion and integrity.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and influencing stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
- Strong technical proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office tools.
Working Conditions
- Full-time onsite in Mississauga.
- Occasional domestic travel may be required.
