Position: Marketing and Trade Show Coordinator
Location: Ottawa
Salary: $63K to $78K
Duration: 10 months with strong potential to go permanent
About the Role:
Join a collaborative team environment as the Marketing and Trade Show Coordinator supporting the day-to-day operations of the Marketing department. In this dynamic, multi-faceted role, you'll help drive product and marketing initiatives while supporting trade show planning, vendor relations, and digital marketing efforts. This position plays a key role in launching product lines and shaping brand presence across North America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify new product line opportunities aligned with business goals and market trends
- Analyze consumer trends and make strategic recommendations to senior leadership
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of trade show preparation including product selection, promotions, scheduling, and booth setup
- Travel to trade shows in Canada and the U.S. as needed
- Oversee product quality control and functionality improvements
- Manage and update the company showroom used by the sales team and retail customers
- Collaborate with senior management and the graphics team on product marketing strategies, packaging, and promotional planning
- Review product samples and recommend adjustments to design elements (e.g., color, shape, name)
- Support the Sourcing Department with vendor communication for new product lines
- Plan and monitor digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms
- Approve and oversee email and print marketing materials
- Lead proofreading and quality control of marketing collateral, including catalogues
- Organize seasonal social and corporate events
Qualifications:
- College or University degree in Marketing or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a marketing or brand coordination role
- Proven experience advising senior leadership on marketing initiatives
- Strong experience in social media strategy and campaign execution
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Canva and Microsoft Office
- Experience in product development or merchandising is an asset
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Experience planning and executing trade shows
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Graphic design experience
