About Starboard

Starboard is the AI-powered operating system for global trade. We help freight forwarders automate quoting, pricing, and operations-replacing inboxes, spreadsheets, and tribal knowledge with fast, intelligent workflows. Our product turns rate sheets and customer emails into quotes in under two minutes and learns over time to optimize margin and carrier selection.

We're backed by Eclipse Ventures and trusted by forwarders who are serious about digital transformation. We're growing fast-and designing for speed, usability, and adoption is core to our success.

The Role

We're looking for a Product Manager who can roll up their sleeves and lead UX design. This is not a "write the spec and hand it off" role. You'll live in Figma, talk to users weekly, and define workflows that make complex freight operations feel simple and smart.

You'll own product areas like AI quote generation, pricing desk tools, and rate management-and be expected to shape both the what and the how of user experience.

What You'll Do

  • Own product discovery, roadmap, and delivery for core quoting and pricing workflows
  • Translate freight forwarding problems into clear, intuitive user journeys-often by designing them yourself
  • Wireframe and prototype new features in Figma (you'll be the first line of design)
  • Work closely with engineers to scope features, unblock dev, and ship improvements weekly
  • Run feedback sessions, shadow users, and test usability of live features
  • Iterate quickly-prioritizing based on user pain, business impact, and implementation speed
  • Translate AI logic (confidence scores, rate sourcing, margin optimization) into transparent and trusted UX

You Might Be a Fit If

  • You're a PM who also loves design-and have led UX work in previous roles
  • You've built and iterated high-frequency B2B tools, ideally in ops-heavy or data-rich domains
  • You're fluent in Figma and comfortable mocking flows from scratch
  • You care deeply about how the product feels, not just what it does
  • You bias toward action, prototype early, and aren't afraid to learn by shipping
  • Bonus: You've worked on AI-powered products, logistics, or quoting tools

Why Join Starboard

  • Own critical product areas in a high-growth, fast-shipping startup
  • Design and build tools used daily by pricing and operations teams around the world
  • Join a sharp, mission-driven team obsessed with speed and user outcomes
  • Competitive equity, a culture of ownership, and the chance to define the future of trade tech
