Central Stampings Limited, a member of the Narmco Group, a Tier One manufacturer of Metal Stampings & Welded Assemblies for the automotive sector, located in Windsor Ontario Canada has an opening for a: Plant Superintendent

This hands-on floor orientated position is responsible to promote safe working practices in a safe and orderly environment. The Plant Superintendent shall direct and co-ordinate, through a team of Area Managers/Supervisory personnel, activities such as production in an automotive metal stamping and welded assembly facility and provide knowledge of product technology, production methods and capabilities of machines and equipment. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and is ultimately responsible for the daily manufacturing activity of the JIT facility.

Qualifications for candidates:

Understand all aspects of Health & Safety in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations

5 or more years experience in JIT manufacturing , preference Metal Stamping or Welded Assy.

Understand quality control, production standards and efficiencies

Have the knowledge of machines and equipment

Proper leadership and coaching abilities

Proficient computer skills using Microsoft office

Able to work in a unionized environment, able to resolve issues in grievances, discipline, and health & safety

Other:

• Experience in automotive production environment
• Tool & Die experience and asset
• Robotic experience and asset
• Able to supervise subordinates
• Very involved floor, hands on management style a must
• Strong organizational & multi-tasking skills
