Role Description

• Administer and maintain Snowflake environments, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and security.

• Configure Snowflake roles, permissions, warehouses, and databases to ensure compliance with security and access policies.

• Monitor and tune Snowflake performance, optimize query performance, and optimize data storage and compute resources.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Snowflake operations, including data loading, data transformation, and query performance.

• Manage and optimize data integration workflows between Snowflake and other systems (ETL/ELT processes, data lakes, BI tools).Provide support for day-to-day Snowflake operations and assist teams with troubleshooting issues.

• Work closely with the data engineering and analytics teams to troubleshoot data issues, performance bottlenecks, and system failures.

Required Skill Set

• Good years of experience in Snowflake administration, cloud data platforms, or database management.

• Hands-on experience with managing Snowflake environments, including database setup, data integration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

• Strong experience with Snowflake architecture, security model, and data warehouse optimization.

• Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data integration with Snowflake.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms. Deploy Snowflake SQL scripts and stored procedures using CI/CD processes.

• Proficiency in SQL and other query languages used for Snowflake data modeling and performance tuning Proficient in automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).

Desired Skill Set

• Familiarity with cloud platforms. Deploy Snowflake SQL scripts and stored procedures using CI/CD processes.
