Are you a curious, culturally fluent, and insight-driven Social Media Strategist looking for a fractional role with an award-winning agency? King Ursa is on the hunt for someone to join our strategy team and role that bridges brand, content, and platform expertise to build scroll-stopping social strategies that connect with audiences and deliver measurable impact.

You'll work alongside Creative, Media, and Account teams to develop strategies for our clients that shape how brands show up across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading our social team (including our Social Media Manager and Content Creator); help to promote best practices and keep tabs on trends and platform updates; and push work forward that is on brand and best in class. We are looking for someone to join us 10-15 hours a week, with the opportunity for this to increase.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the implementation of social media strategies across a range of clients and industries and adapt/expand them as required.
  • Translate brand strategy and campaign objectives into platform-specific executions.
  • Conduct social listening, competitor audits, and trend analysis to inform content and channel direction.
  • Contribute to reporting, including post and channel performance and insights on platform-specific best practices.
  • Build and present strategic recommendations that include audience insights, tone of voice, channel strategy, content pillars, and influencer/creator opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Creative teams to inspire concept development and ensure ideas are optimized for social.
  • Work with the Media team and agency's partners to align on targeting, paid strategy, and measurement frameworks.
  • Stay on top of trends, platform updates, cultural moments, and best practices - and share learnings across the agency and with clients.
  • Work closely with Account teams to present work, respond to briefs, and support client relationships.

Who You Are

  • 7+ years of experience in a social or content strategy role (agency or brand side).
  • Strong understanding of the social landscape, including what works on each platform and why.
  • Fluent in internet culture, emerging trends, and digital behaviours.
  • Able to think strategically and translate complex ideas into clear, actionable plans.
  • An exceptionally strong eye for detail and value process.
  • A bold vision to grow social channels and a hunger for exceptional content.
  • Experience in writing briefs, building decks, and presenting to clients.
  • Collaborative, articulate, and always hungry to learn.
  • Experience with platform-native and other social analytics tools (e.g. Meltwater, Sprinklr), influencer marketing, and creator partnerships.
  • Understanding, interest, and a history of working with packaged goods brands.
