Your Mission:
As Director of Sales, you will be instrumental in shaping the hotel's success by developing and executing impactful sales plans. You will lead and inspire a team of sales professionals, cultivate strong client relationships, and strategically target new business opportunities in the group, meeting, and event sectors.
What You'll Do:
- Craft and implement strategic sales plans that align with the hotel's revenue goals.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of sales managers and associates.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business within the group, meeting, and event markets.
- Nurture and strengthen relationships with key clients and industry partners.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts and agreements to optimize profitability.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to pinpoint opportunities and address challenges.
- Prepare and present insightful sales reports to hotel leadership.
- Champion exceptional customer satisfaction through effective sales and service strategies.
- Collaborate seamlessly with marketing, catering, operations, and other departments to ensure flawless event and group booking execution.
- Represent the hotel professionally at industry events and trade shows.
What You Bring:
- Mandatory: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience as a Director of Sales within a hotel environment, specifically a convention or group hotel.
- A proven track record of successfully leading sales initiatives for hotels boasting over 15,000 square feet of meeting space.
- Comprehensive knowledge of hotel sales processes, including group sales, contract negotiation, and revenue management principles.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- A demonstrated talent for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
- Strong leadership acumen with the ability to motivate, coach, and manage a sales team effectively.
- Analytical prowess to interpret market data and formulate effective sales strategies.
- Proficiency in hotel sales software and CRM systems.
- A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
