Position Overview
This role is ideal for a mechanical engineering professional with experience in client management and business development. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to grow the company's presence in key industries, act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, and work cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver customized material handling solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify new business opportunities across North America
- Build and strengthen client relationships in the mining, cement, and energy sectors
- Lead outreach efforts through market research, networking, and client engagement
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients
- Conduct regular client reviews and communications to maintain satisfaction and loyalty
- Develop tailored service strategies that align with client goals
Technical Consultation & Solution Design
- Apply engineering knowledge to identify client needs and recommend technical solutions
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver customized, precision-based systems
- Stay informed on technological trends and industry advancements
Strategic Planning & Market Insights
- Contribute to business development planning based on client and market data
- Provide feedback to guide product development and service improvement
- Share insights on competitor activity and evolving client needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years' experience in business development, technical sales, or client relationship management
- Background in bulk material handling, manufacturing, or heavy machinery preferred
- Proven ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
