Role Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Planner to join our team. As a Supply Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of materials, components, and finished goods to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing supply chain disruptions. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments, analyzing demand forecasts, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating with suppliers to maintain an efficient and reliable supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of supply chain management principles.
Accountabilities:
Review for the country, providing and presenting required input information, highlighting potential risks and opportunities, and implementing agreed upon actions.
Develop supply plans and schedules to meet demand requirements while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
Collaborate closely with the Demand Planner and Contract Manufacturing manager to understand customer demand and forecast variability.
Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure the availability of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging supplies for timely production.
Monitor inventory levels of finished goods, raw materials, and packaging materials to prevent stockouts or excess inventory by region.
Analyze production data, performance metrics, and production reports to identify areas for improvement, such as reducing lead times, increasing production efficiency, and minimizing waste.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, logistics, and quality assurance teams, to coordinate activities and resolve any supply-related issues.
Conduct regular meetings with cross-functional teams to communicate production plans, discuss challenges, and provide updates on production progress.
Anticipate and resolve any production-related issues, such as equipment breakdowns, quality deviations, or material shortages, in a timely manner to minimize disruptions.
Implement and maintain production planning software or tools to streamline the planning process and improve accuracy.
Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in brewery production planning and management.
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, operations management, supply chain management, or a related field.
Previous experience an asset in production planning or scheduling, preferably in a brewery, beverage, or multi-stage manufacturing environment.
High proficiency in using Excel and production planning software and tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles and their application in production planning is a plus.
