JOB SUMMARY:

The Packaging Equipment Technician is responsible for setting up equipment, organizing the daily schedule; - performing and overseeing the packaging process of labelling and assembly of all Prollenium products.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up and operation of packaging equipment
  • Troubleshoot and correct malfunctioning equipment on the packaging line
  • Actively lead the packaging process while performing the labeling and assembly procedures along with the packaging operators, ensuring quality, accuracy and safety as per strict procedures
  • Ensure proper lot number and expiry date on labels, physically inspect syringes for print quality and application of labels
  • Complete validation documentation, as necessary, and inspect the quality of the packaged products prior to passing the documentation to the Quality department
  • Comply with ISO 13485 standards and GMP
  • Oversee inventory control of packaging components: including receipt, inspection and inventory levels of supplies and components; update manager of usage, shortages and surplus
  • Accurately complete the Manufacturing Batch Production SOPs as per GMP procedures

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Train new packaging staff
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Knowledge/Experience

  • Technical diploma-mechanical, robotics or related field
  • 3+ years' experience operating packaging equipment in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical production environments with medium-high output
  • 3+ years' experience with packaging equipment set up and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of and experience with GMP and ISO
  • Physically able and willing to repeatedly lift up to 30 lbs
