POSITION DESCRIPTION - RECRUITMENT LEAD (12-month contract)
POSITION OVERVIEW
Reports to: Senior Manager, Global Talent
Location: Vancouver (Hybrid)
POSITION SUMMARY
As Recruitment Lead, you will support full-cycle recruitment across both corporate and expatriate hiring, driving senior-level recruitment initiatives and overseeing global talent acquisition efforts. Working closely with business leaders, HR partners, and external vendors, the Senior Recruiter will be instrumental in shaping our sourcing strategies and ensuring the delivery of high-quality hires.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Recruitment Lead will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Talent Acquisition Leadership
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for non-executive corporate and expatriate roles, partnering closely with hiring managers and local and international HR teams to define needs and sourcing strategies.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders on staffing plans and recruitment goals, in relation to workforce planning and budgeting.
- Provide hands-on recruitment for in-house managed roles, while managing outsourced recruitment projects and holding external partners accountable for delivery and outcomes.
Expatriate and Global Mobility Integration
- Partner closely with the Global Mobility team ensuring a seamless recruitment-to-onboarding experience for expatriate hires.
- Guide business stakeholders and local HR through the expatriate recruitment process, aligning timelines, visa/work permit requirements, and communication points.
Systems and Vendor Management
- Oversee recruitment platforms for applicant tracking and careers website, including identifying systems improvements and supporting cross-team collaboration
- Manage relationships with external recruitment partners, vendors, and talent networks, ensuring service quality and alignment with hiring needs.
- Partner with Corporate Communications to support employer brand and candidate outreach strategies.
Recruitment Compliance and Optimization
- Monitor open positions and lead corporate-level position management (inclusive of expatriate roles on assignment to subsidiaries), ensuring approvals and governance are upheld outside of the annual planning cycle.
- Provide regular reporting updates to HRLT and senior management, as required.
- Uphold recruitment standards and global mobility policy, ensuring practices reflect current employment legislation and industry best practice, including considerations around pay equity and inclusion.
- Support recruitment process improvements across the function, driving global consistency while adapting to regional differences as needed.
Collaboration and Strategic Insight
- Partner closely with the Talent Management Analyst to ensure alignment and clarity across all recruitment activities, while maintaining shared accountability for delivering a seamless and coordinated hiring experience.
- Serve as a collaborative partner to Corporate and local HR teams, supporting onboarding alignment and consistent candidate experience.
- Contribute to ongoing enhancements in recruitment technology and processes.
- Maintain strong market awareness and competitive intelligence to inform recruitment practices and talent strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years of progressive recruitment experience, mining sector experience is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated success in corporate and expatriate recruitment and vendor management.
- Experience working within or alongside HR functions in global and matrixed environments.
- Strong knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); prior experience in system implementation would be considered an asset (SAP SuccessFactors preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal, advisory, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Limited travel to site but may occasionally be required.
