Summary of responsibility

The Product Engineer is responsible for the development of Fuel Cell Humidifiers - a critical

'balance-of-plant' component used in hydrogen fuel cell systems. The incumbent will perform various

design activities related to integration of membrane into an air-to air heat exchanger and the

overall component design for various motive applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• 3D modeling and 2D drafting using SolidWorks

• Perform design calculations and conduct simulations using CFD or FEA software

• Assemble, measure and test prototypes

• Develop test plans, conduct testing, analyze data and report on test results

• Set up tests with mechanical and electronic components

• Design and build fixtures and equipment for testing or for prototype manufacturing

• Liaise and manage suppliers to procure components

• Support the mfg. team by documenting processes or investigating quality issues

Qualifications

• Engineering diploma/degree (Mechanical / Mechatronics Preferred)

• Min. 2 years of engineering experience in product design & development

• 3D modeling experience (SolidWorks preferred)

• GD&T / drawing detailing experience

• Ability to write clear and well-structured reports, procedures, and other technical

documentation.

• Skilled in using hand & power tools and basic shop equipment (ie drill press, tapping

threads etc)

• Basic understanding of electrical circuits, schematic diagrams

• Demonstrated "hands-on" experience working with mechanical components & systems

• Reliable and organized; completing assigned work with minimal supervision

• Positive attitude - works well with others in a strong team environment

• Resourceful and proactive when facing problems

• Flexible and adaptable mindset

Bonus Qualifications

• Capable of basic machining using milling maching/lathe/drill press etc.

• Experience with sensors, pneumatics, stepper motors

• Basic programming (Python, Arduino IDE, etc.)

• Experience with 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC control Please submit a cover letter and
