Altruck International Truck Centres is currently looking for a motivated Rental Agent to become a key part of our Idealease Division-someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves helping people, and knows how to hustle.

The position will be based out of our Kitchener location. (48 Ardelt Avenue).

Hours will be Mondays-Fridays (8:00am-5:00pm).

What You'll Do

As a Rental Agent, you'll be at the heart of our rental department. Your main goal? Drive rental revenue and ensure every customer leaves satisfied.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

Rental Department & Customer Service Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Rental department, ensuring a smooth workflow.

Sales, Reporting & Business Development

• Actively pursue rental sales goals and commission targets.
• Develop, organize, and maintain effective sales and customer relationship programs.
• Participate in weekly sales meetings to share activity updates within your territory.
• Manage rental fleet inventory and consult regularly with management on equipment needs.
• Assist in developing the annual business plan for the Idealease team.
• Prepare and manage rental agreements and related documentation efficiently.
• Contribute to rental marketing initiatives, including social media engagement.
• Conduct rental sales outreach via cold calls, direct mail, and in-person visits.
• Make 8-10 sales calls daily to prospective clients, logging all activity in Salesforce.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with high-volume rental customers.
• Provide timely weekly and monthly sales performance reports to management.
• Conduct market analysis to establish competitive rates for various rental equipment.
• Maintain a customer/prospect database in collaboration with management.
• Meet or exceed established monthly and annual rental sales targets.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), relevant regulations, and internal health and safety policies.
• Perform additional duties as required to support team goals and departmental success.

You'll Need:

• High school diploma (college degree preferred)
• Experience in truck/auto rentals or dealership setting is a plus
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic understanding of commercial vehicles and rental qualifications
• Valid G Class driver's license with a clean driving record
• OMVIC sales license or DZ license is an asset
• Familiarity with CDK, Salesforce, or other CRM/DMS tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in both office and outdoor conditions
• Willingness to travel for training or customer site visits

Working Conditions

The Rental Agent Idealease will alternate between sitting and standing for 6-8 hours either in an indoor, temperature moderated, well-lit environment or in the outside lot, where temperatures may fluctuate depending on the season. The incumbent will be required to use office equipment, such as a computer, fax machine and telephone. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods and be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
