The Opportunity:
ML6 is proud to partner with a leading manufacturing organization in their search for a Human Resource Manager (Maternity Leave Contract). Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is a critical business partner, driving a full range of HR initiatives designed to optimize organizational performance. As the primary HR point of contact for all staff levels, the Human Resource Manager will lead programs in employee relations, organizational design, recruitment, training, and performance management, ensuring compliance with employment standards and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead HR operations, ensuring confidentiality, compliance with employment laws, maintaining the HRIS system, updating organizational resources, and fostering employee engagement initiatives.
- Develop and execute full-cycle recruitment strategies, working with managers to assess needs, post jobs, interview candidates, conduct references, and manage onboarding and exit processes.
- Support managers in coordinating probation reviews, performance improvement plans, progressive discipline, and conflict resolution while maintaining a positive employee relations climate.
- Collect, verify, and submit payroll data bi-weekly, ensuring accuracy and escalating discrepancies to operational leadership as needed.
- Manage all aspects of benefits enrolment, termination, and inquiries, serving as the primary liaison with the organization's benefits provider.
- Partner closely with the Health & Safety Manager to uphold employee safety standards, participate in WSIB matters, and support the maintenance and implementation of corporate safety plans.
- Analyze HR, payroll, and recruitment data to drive continuous process improvements aligned with organizational effectiveness goals.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or operational environment.
- CHRP/CHRL designation considered an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of the Employment Standards Act and relevant provincial legislation.
- Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster trust and collaboration across all organizational levels.

- High level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
