We're looking for a skilled and service-oriented Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join a collaborative, high-performing HR team within the public sector. This is a generalist, non-management role, ideally suited to an intermediate or senior HR professional who thrives in a dynamic, professional, and service-driven environment.
This role offers exposure to a broad range of human resources responsibilities - from recruitment and employee relations to training coordination and workforce planning - all within a fast-paced, highly unique organizational setting. It's a great opportunity for someone with strong foundational HR experience looking to work closely with business leaders.
Responsibilities As an HR Business Partner, you'll provide full generalist HR services to a diverse client group, including:
- Advising leaders on employee relations, performance management, and workplace accommodation matters
- Leading recruitment processes end-to-end, from job postings to interviews and offers
- Supporting classification, compensation, and workforce planning initiatives
- Coordinating training and professional development activities (managing logistics and external facilitators - not delivering content directly)
- Contributing to HR projects and change initiatives as they arise
- Managing day-to-day HR operational tasks essential to keeping processes moving
Requirements
- Can prioritize in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
- University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of related HR experience
- Can tactfully influence outcomes and find practical, client-focused solutions
- Brings agility, organization, and a team-focused attitude
- Thrives in environments with frequent shifting priorities and nuanced organizational dynamics
Public sector, not-for-profit, or highly regulated organization experience is highly preferred due to the structure and expectations of this environment.
