Position Title: SAP Functional Analyst - Specialized (Level 3)
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 09 Months long Contract (with possibilities of extension) Part-time: 3 - 4 days / week or 20 hours approx / week in total, hours are flexible and you do not need to leave your current Full-time / Federal Government role
Location: This role is based in Ottawa, ON / Anywhere within Canada ( mostly Remote work; However, some shifts may be required in Ottawa, ON Onsite )
Start Date: End of May / Beginning of June 2025
Pay Rate: 110$ - 125$ Incorporated + HST
OR
80$ - 95$ on T4
(Depending on years' of experience and skillset)
Job Description (Must - have Skills):
We are looking for a SAP Functional Analyst - Specialized (Level 3) resources, with below skillsets:
- The proposed resource must have been directly responsible for Functional Team deliverables related to delivery of 2 complete SAP project life cycles based on either SAP ASAP or Activate methodology (or equivalent service provider SAP methodology) (Must have to meet Govt. Grid)
- A minimum of five (5) years of cumulative experience, within the 12 years preceding the issuance date of this TA, working as a SAP Functional Analyst
- Government Valid Security / Secret Clearance (Must have), as the End Client is in the Government industry.
- SAP Certification (s): Valid professional Certification(s); resources must hold a valid SAP ECC Certification and other relevant module (Must have)
- Previous Government Project Experience (Nice to have)
- Controlled Goods in place (Must have) CGP clearance, short for "Controlled Goods Program Clearance", is a security assessment process in Canada for individuals and organizations who need to examine, possess, or transfer controlled goods and technology. The CGP is a federal program that regulates the examination, possession, and transfer of these goods to strengthen Canada's defense trade controls and prevent proliferation of weapons and other sensitive items.
The Resume response must include:
• Project title and client name
• Start and end dates of project (must include month and year)
• Description of project
• List of tasks performed by proposed resource
• Relevance to the scope of work
Other Required Skills:
Tasks may include but are not limited to the following:

Background:
- The proposed resource must have a related SAP Functional certification and experience related to one of the following specialized SAP modules including, but not limited to SAP ECC and equivalent S/4HANA functionality for Defense and Security, Funds Management, Enterprise Asset Management, Workforce Management - Human Capital Management, Real Estate, Transportation Management, Extended Warehouse Management, Global Trade Services, and Environment Health and Safety - Must provide proof of SAP certification
- The proposed resource must have been directly responsible for Functional Team deliverables related to delivery of 2 complete SAP project life cycles based on either SAP ASAP or Activate methodology (or equivalent service provider SAP methodology) - Substantiation of demonstrated experience must be included in the table, resumes are also required. The Contractor must substantiate all claims of experience by providing a description of the identified resource's role including relevant experience or other pertinent information which corroborates the information provided (e.g. activities performed, deliverables provided, tools used, methodology employed, resources directly managed, associated budget, and outcome achieved, etc.) otherwise the experience will not be considered.
- The proposed resource must have experience in the proposed resource category, including:
a. A minimum of five (5) years of cumulative experience, within the twelve years preceding the issuance date of this TA, working as a SAP Functional Analyst - Specialized (as defined in section 3.1.7 below ), and;
b. Within that timeframe of experience, the proposed resource must demonstrate experience performing at least 75% of the tasks in section 3.1.7 for a minimum of six cumulative months of experience per task.
The required experience can be demonstrated over one or more Reference Projects - Substantiation of demonstrated experience must be included in the table, resumes are also required. The Contractor must substantiate all claims of experience by providing a description of the identified resource's role including relevant experience or other pertinent information which corroborates the information provided (e.g. activities performed, deliverables provided, tools used, methodology employed, resources directly managed, associated budget, and outcome achieved, etc.) otherwise the experience will not be considered.
For projects provided to demonstrate experience of a proposed resource the following information MUST be included:
1) The name of the client organization;
2) The position of the resource on the project; and
3) The time frame that the resource was assigned to the project,
i.e. beginning and end date (month/year).
The Contractor must substantiate all claims of experience by filling out and attaching Form A - Experience Response Table
3.1.7 SAP Functional Analyst - Specialized
At least 75% of the tasks below must be identified in each relevant project for M3 / Section 2.
- Develop and document SAP functional, business and/or system requirements specifications;
- Develop and document screen, report and interface requirements in SAP;
- Develop functional, business and/or system interface or interaction capability as per specifications/requirements;
- Gather and analyze information to establish the functional and technical needs of a system or project;
- Design methods and procedures for SAP modules that are integrated within an SAP solution;
- Develop, test, document and implement changes to SAP modules that are integrated within an SAP solution;
- Document forms, manuals, programs, interfaces, release notes, data files work instructions and procedures;
- Analyze data conversion requirements to determine data conversion strategies and mechanisms based on strategy;
- Analyze, document SAP Service Marketplace Support Portal notes in support of problem and change analysis;
- Assist Business Analyst in the conduct of business and system requirements workshops, and;
- Provide Knowledge Transfer (KT) to DND-CAF personnel on an on-going basis in the form of oral, written or presentation as specified by the Technical Authority.
