Job Purpose

Our Bonnyville branch is looking for a Journeyman Heavy Duty Field Technician to come join their team. This position is Monday to Friday and will be a 70/30 split between field and shop.

What you will do

• Follow a consistent and regular schedule of maintenance on equipment such as; Aerial lifts, Skidsteers, Compressors, Light Towers, Generators and Excavators at various job sites
• Repair assorted heavy equipment as required to ensure proper operating condition at the job site
• Disassembles engines and reassembles after a thorough examination
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and propane systems
• Conduct oil changes, lubrication of equipment, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and assorted services
• Recondition and replace assorted parts of the heavy equipment
• Must be able to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, hydraulics, pumps and assorted tools and equipment
• Diagnoses problem areas for any significant wear or tear on the equipment
• Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
• Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs
• Follow all company's filed procedures and protocols
• Build positive relationships with customers
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Journeyman Off-Road ticket or Red Seal in HET
• Ability to work on-call every 3 weeks
• Must have at least 3-years' hands on experience repairing Aerial equipment
• Ability to work constructively under pressure
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrates initiative and strong organizational skills
• Exceptional communication skills while maintaining a professional customer service focused attitude
• Valid driver's license
• A recent driver's abstract will be required

Pay Range: $45-50/hr Depending on experience
