A busy legal practice is seeking a skilled and proactive Legal Administrative Assistant/Paralegal to join their team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work independently on a range of files related to insolvency & foreclosure, estate litigation, and estate administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft court documents including pleadings, petitions, affidavits, and notices of application (including s.92 applications)
  • Prepare and file Certificates of Pending Litigation with the Land Titles Office
  • Handle electronic court filings and conduct online searches
  • Prepare documents and correspondence related to estate litigation and administration
  • Manage day-to-day file administration, including time entry and document management
  • Respond to inquiries and correspondence in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with trial preparation when required
  • Perform additional duties as needed

What You Bring:

  • Intermediate to senior experience as a LAA/Paralegal
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional communication skills (written and verbal), with a strong client-service approach
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; familiarity with iManage/FileSite and Elite 3E is an asset
  • Knowledge of foreclosure processes, real estate transactions, and estate procedures preferred
