Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day management of labour and employment files assigned by supervising lawyer.
- Work on a variety of challenging matters including advocacy before boards and tribunals, and experience handling human rights applications and wrongful dismissal claims.
- Drafting, reviewing, revising and negotiating employment agreements, collective bargaining agreements, terminations and dismissal.
- Ability to work on a variety of sophisticated and diverse labour and employment files and to balance competing priorities.
- Opportunity for hands-on experience with clients and to run files independently.
- Any other tasks assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of labour and employment experience at a law firm preferably on the management side.
- A license to practice in Ontario.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and drafting skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
