We're currently in search of a General Manager for 1 Kitchen & Flora Lounge who shares these values and will champion them at 1 Hotel Toronto.
General Duties
- Deliver service in accordance with Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star standards, ensuring a refined, anticipatory, and personalized guest experience at all touchpoints.
- Develop the departmental budget and monitor financial performance to ensure goals are met or exceeded and opportunities are identified and addressed. Maintain a positive cost management index for departmental operations.
- Oversee daily operations and provide hands-on support by thoroughly understanding all roles to effectively step in when needed. Ensure team members remain productive and aligned with service standards.
- Monitor guest feedback and performance data to optimize guest engagement and retention and take appropriate corrective action. Respond quickly and proactively to guest's concerns and take ownership of guest complaints/problems until they are resolved or addressed.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to create and execute a cohesive marketing strategy that aligns with the restaurant's concept, encompassing social media, on-site collateral, and event initiatives. Conduct quarterly reviews to evaluate effectiveness and provide insights on wins and areas for improvement.
- Improve service by communicating with and assisting team members to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed.
About you
- Passionate about food & beverage and a minimum of 4 years of similar work experience.
- A post-secondary diploma or degree would be a plus.
- Previous experience in a luxury hospitality environment is considered an asset.
- An expert in food & beverage operations, a strong leader and a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance.
- Excels at communication, both verbal and written.
- Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
- Current Ontario Smart Serve Certification required.
