Strive is focused on providing brokers with the best experience when it comes to funding their prime mortgage files. A focus on relationship building, best in market tech, and an all-star team to take the file from start to finish and beyond. We have partnered with all 3 mortgage insurers, and will be offering insured, insurable, and uninsurable products.

Purpose of Role

The Fulfillment Specialist is primarily responsible for the review, processing, and approval of mortgage documentation, ensuring strict adherence to Strive's residential mortgage underwriting policy, procedures, and applicable guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Review documentation for completeness in the highest credit quality standards, with compliance to Strive policies and procedures.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer service experience in every interaction.
  • Build, maintain and enhance customer service levels. Verify and validate customer documentation for accuracy while mitigating any concerns surrounding suspected misrepresentation.
  • Instruct and manage closing administration.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Underwriters, Sales and Funding to ensure smooth closings, 'happy path' experience and a great work environment for all.
  • Manage pipeline through daily review and regular follow-up to collect outstanding documentation as outlined in the mortgage commitment.
  • Ensure awareness and compliance of all aspects of the QA program.
  • Continuously learn, adapt, engage and grow in your role and as an integral part of the organization.
  • Collaborate and participate with the Strive team.
  • Keep up to date with updates to policy and procedure.

Complete all mandatory training, specifically:

  • Regulatory
  • Privacy
  • Compliance and risk management
  • AML/ATF
  • Quality Assurance
  • Act at all times in accordance with Strive's risk appetite as defined by the RMUP

Confidentiality

  • Maintain employee, customer and partner confidentiality as described by Strive's Employee Handbook

Competencies

  • Previous mortgage industry experience is considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of PC software in a Windows environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to flourish in a high-volume, fast-paced and service-oriented setting.
  • Established and meticulous organizational skills.
  • Commitment to grow as an individual by constantly learning and staying on top of industry changes.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to drive company growth with exceptional customer service, strong team collaboration and commitment to excellence.
  • An ability to handle pressure in a high-volume environment while delivering within defined turnaround times.
  • An ability to quickly assess and make accurate decisions.

Employment Type

Full time with regular working hours (currently remote and in-person hybrid working environment).
