This is your chance to join a small, elite team building the future of creator economy. You'll work on ideas that reach millions, learn how top creators operate behind the scenes, and get hands-on production experience you won't find anywhere else.

Role Overview

We're hiring a Production Assistant to help take ideas from brainstorm to upload. You'll assist across the full pipeline: researching viral concepts, building props, running film shoots, organizing files, and scheduling content for release. You'll work directly with the producer and creator, gaining top-tier, on-the-job training that doesn't exist anywhere else in the industry.

This is a high-responsibility, fast-paced role designed for someone with a strong work ethic, a sharp creative mind, and a desire to grow fast in the creator world.

Idea Research

  • Research feasibility of experiments, stunts, inventions, and tech
  • Track down reference materials, case studies, or similar executions
  • Help develop feasibility outlines, sourcing plans, and creative angles
  • Occasionally reach out to experts, creators, or sources to deepen research

Pre-Production

  • Source and purchase materials, props, and tools
  • Assist with location scouting, bookings, and shoot prep
  • Build or assemble props, rigs, or inventions for videos
  • Work with the team to adapt ideas quickly when things break or flop
  • Basic fabrication techniques and DIY construction on the job

Filming

  • Help set up gear, lighting, and locations
  • Assist as a second shooter or camera op if needed
  • Handle memory cards, batteries, and on-set problem solving
  • Help manage time and logistics on shoot day

Post-Filming

  • Organize raw footage, label and sort files
  • Upload content to cloud storage
  • Maintain our prop and gear libraries (physical and digital)
  • Assist with archiving and file handoffs to editors

Posting & Scheduling

  • Schedule long-form videos and Shorts using YouTube Studio and other tools
  • Assist in uploading final thumbnails, titles, and metadata
  • Double-check content formatting and publishing accuracy
  • Help maintain the publishing calendar across all platforms
  • Occasionally assist with light community management (comment moderation, etc.)

You're a Great Fit If You:

  • Are hungry to break into production and learn by doing
  • Stay calm under pressure and solve problems on the fly
  • Have strong attention to detail and love staying organized
  • Don't mind getting your hands dirty-physically and creatively
  • Are passionate about social media, creativity, storytelling, and innovation
  • Are comfortable around power tools or excited to learn them

Bonus Points If You:

  • Have worked on video sets or helped shoot/edit projects
  • Are familiar with camera gear, lighting, or AV setup
  • Have a background in theatre, film, events, engineering, or making
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Love YouTube, internet culture, tech, or science

What You Get:

  • Elite production training from one of Canada's top creator teams
  • Work seen by millions of viewers globally
