Associate Director, Six Star

The Associate Director, Six Star will play a hybrid role, managing the overall brand portfolio strategy for Iovate while also serving as the brand lead and brand manager for Six Star. This role is accountable for P&L management, inventory management, brand positioning, and omnichannel marketing strategies for these flagship brands.

Reporting to the VP, Marketing, the Associate Director, Six Star will own brand strategy, market execution, consumer engagement, and pricing strategy for Six Star. This role does not include new product development or innovation creation but is responsible for the successful commercialization and market performance of existing products.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven brand leader with a strong background in P&L management, inventory oversight, and omnichannel marketing within CPG, wellness, or active nutrition brands.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Leadership for Six Star

  • Act as brand lead and brand manager for Six Star ensuring brand positioning, messaging, and commercial execution align with business objectives
  • Own P&L management for Six Star, driving financial performance, budget management, and cost optimization
  • Manage inventory levels for Six Star, collaborating with supply chain and operations teams to ensure product availability and forecast accuracy
  • Develop and execute omnichannel pricing strategies across retail, DTC, Amazon, and e-commerce marketplaces to maximize revenue and competitive positioning
  • Oversee omnichannel marketing plans, including media strategy, promotional campaigns, and trade marketing initiatives

Portfolio Management & Market Execution

  • Own and manage the Iovate Health Sciences product portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment across all brands
  • Develop and execute brand positioning, messaging, and consumer engagement strategies to drive loyalty and market share growth
  • Manage the marketing calendar, ensuring all brand initiatives are strategically planned, aligned with business priorities, and executed on time

Go-To-Market (GTM) Execution & Commercialization

  • Collaborate with innovation and R&D teams to support the commercialization of new products and packaging refreshes with strategic GTM plans
  • Lead launch planning, demand forecasting, and omnichannel rollout for Six Star, ensuring seamless execution in retail, DTC, and digital channels
  • Build retail marketing plans that drive sell-through and ensure strong promotional execution in Walmart, Target, Costco, and specialty retailers, partnering with shopper marketing and sales teams

Consumer Loyalty & Market Share Growth

  • Develop and execute consumer acquisition and retention strategies for Six Star, leveraging brand storytelling, digital engagement, and performance marketing
  • Utilize consumer insights, market research, and data analytics to optimize brand messaging, campaign effectiveness, and product positioning
  • Lead category growth strategies to increase market share and brand penetration across retail and DTC

Marketing Calendar & Omnichannel Planning

  • Own and manage the Iovate marketing calendar, ensuring seamless coordination of brand campaigns, promotional activations, and seasonal retail cycles
  • Align marketing initiatives with consumer behavior trends, category dynamics, and key retail moments
  • Partner with performance marketing, creative, and sales teams to ensure campaigns are optimized across all channels

P&L & Inventory Management

  • Own P&L responsibility for Six Star, driving budget management, financial forecasting, and profitability analysis
  • Oversee inventory management, collaborating with supply chain and operations teams to ensure inventory levels align with sales forecasts and market demand
  • Implement processes to optimize inventory turnover, reduce waste, and support retail and DTC availability

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing brand management team, fostering a culture of strategic thinking, accountability, and executional excellence
  • Serve as the primary brand liaison across internal teams, ensuring alignment with sales, operations, finance, and creative teams
  • Work closely with creative team to ensure all marketing materials, content, and creative assets align with brand strategy and drive engagement

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of brand marketing leadership experience within CPG, wellness, sports nutrition, functional foods and beverages, or health and performance-driven consumer brands
  • Proven experience in brand management, P&L ownership, inventory management, and omnichannel pricing strategy
  • Strong ability to translate brand strategy into actionable marketing campaigns, financial performance, and commercial execution
  • Experience managing large budgets, marketing analytics, and ROI-driven campaign execution
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams and drive execution at scale
