New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Senior Information and Data Manager to support one of our clients in Surrey, BC. This role plays a key part in the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of data management and information services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, analytics, systems integration, and leadership. This opportunity is suited to professionals who are passionate about data-driven decision-making and innovation in information management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement enterprise data management strategies that ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
  • Oversee data governance including quality assurance, lifecycle management, and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and address data needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of secure, scalable information systems and databases.
  • Support data analysis by developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations tailored to internal stakeholders.
  • Promote data literacy through organization-wide training and support.
  • Manage data-related projects from inception to delivery, including scope definition, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to data management staff, fostering high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business units to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Participate in strategic planning and internal committees to shape long-term data initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in data management or a related role.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Minimum 2 years of specialized technical training.
  • Formal professional or technical designation in a relevant discipline.
  • Proven expertise in data governance, analytics, and information system management.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Office 365, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data tools.
  • Strong understanding of database technologies and data integration methods.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with data privacy legislation and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours, if required.
  • Class 5 driver's license or ability to obtain one may be required.
  • Criminal Record Check and/or Vulnerable Sector Check may be required.
