Position: Project Manager, Workday Migration (Contract)

Position Type: Contract (18-24 Months)

Location: Toronto, Hybrid 3 days a week on-site

Description

This is an exciting position for a highly experienced Project Manager to lead a critical ERP Migration Project. This new project involves migrating from the PeopleSoft platform to Workday. You will be reporting to the head of PMO, collaborating closely with the business C-Suite, internal technology teams, and key integration vendors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ERP migration and financial systems integration, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successful project delivery within mid-sized to large complex projects

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end migration from PeopleSoft to Workday Core Financials, Procurement, and Adaptive Planning
• Lead project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and status reporting to all stakeholders
• Act as the primary communication link between the C-Suite, vendors, and internal teams.
• Oversee integration activities, ensuring seamless connection between financial systems and new ERP platforms
• Establish and enforce strong project governance and financial reporting structures
• Ensure projects adhere to the defined scope, timeline, and budget
• Manage change requests, issue resolution, and project escalations effectively

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience and 8 years of Project Management experience in ERP implementation or migration initiatives
• Deep expertise in ERP implementation systems, including Workday. PeopleSoft and SAP experience in SAP is preferred
• Experience in tools including Jira, Confluence, Agile, and waterfall methodologies
• Extensive knowledge of Finance and Accounting systems and processes, CA or CPA designation preferred
• Hands-on experience with Integration Management across multiple systems
• Project Governance and Risk Management expertise
• Superior stakeholder management and executive communication skills
