ivy Group is working with a fast-growing Canadian company in the cloud storage and collaboration space, trusted by over 2 million users worldwide. They're scaling fast - and looking for a Senior Backend Developer, reporting to the CTO, to help take their backend systems, APIs, and SDKs to the next level.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Building scalable backend systems in PHP, Node.js, and related tech
• Designing and maintaining robust APIs and SDKs
• Solving performance challenges using tools like Sentry.io and Datadog
• Optimizing database performance (MySQL, NoSQL)
• Collaborating cross-functionally with product and engineering

What You Bring: 3+ years of backend development experience

• Strong database knowledge (SQL + NoSQL)
• Experience with APIs, SDKs, and scalable architecture
• Git, Agile, and maybe even some Docker in your toolkit
• A thoughtful, detail-driven approach to clean, maintainable code

Education and Certifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred - but equivalent experience building and scaling backend systems is just as valuable.
• AWS Certified Developer, MySQL or MongoDB certification, Docker Certified Associate, or similar backend/cloud credentials nice to have but not mandatory.
