We are looking for a Senior IT Administrator who has vast experience working on Linux servers and products and Linux DRBD and who will be responsible for the maintenance and planned upgrades to our network infrastructure, as well as the day-to-day administration of computer hardware.
Responsibilities
- Providing prompt and effective 1st-level support for network issues, telecommunications, and workstation-related concerns, serving as the initial point of contact for all IT-related inquiries.
- Ensuring the daily backup system - Distributed Replicated Block Device (DRBD) is functioning as expected.
- Maintaining network performance by performing monitoring and analysis; performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems and escalating problems as required.
- Diagnosing and solving hardware and software problems and replacing defective components.
- Helping to maintain all network hardware, software, printers, phones, RF Hand Scanners, laptops etc.
- Keeping the company's 3CX phone system in good condition.
- Preparing users by designing and conducting training programs and providing references and support.
- Updating your job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
- Protecting the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplishing the organization's goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and difference requests; and by exploring opportunities that add value.
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Industry standard certificates (A+, Network+, MCP, etc.).
- Minimum of 7 years experience as a IT Administrator in Linux environment.
- Thorough working experience with LinBit DRBD is a must.
- One to three years' experience as a Microsoft Systems Support Technician.
- Hands-on knowledge of current Microsoft software, including Windows and Office applications.
- Practical understanding of Desktop and laptop repair and troubleshooting methods.
- Knowledge of the systems listed below are required assets: Open-ERP / ECI M1, Warehouse Management Systems, Anti-Virus software (Sophos, Avast), Network Security, Office 365, Windows 10, Server 2012 R2, Juniper Networking, and Cisco Wi-Fi.
- Working knowledge of VoIP (Yealink) phones.
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills and organizational ability.
