Job Summary: As a Life Science Technical Support Specialist, you will work from our head office in Brockville, Ontario, located near the banks of the St. Lawrence River. Your role will be facilitating communication between our customers and our internal teams. Providing technical support in the form of product suggestions, troubleshooting, and technical-based customer follow-up. You will work with our customers via email and phone to answer inquiries related to Life Science products and applications. Travel to customer and supplier locations within Canada is anticipated. Our goal as a company is to offer the best customer service and technical support in the industry to continually educate Canadian scientists. Customer service and product-specific training are provided. Your focus will be within our Life Science division which specializes in:

  • Cell Biology
  • Molecular Biology
  • Microbiology
  • Antibodies and Biomolecules
  • Labware and Equipment
  • Chromatography

Daily functions will include but are not limited to:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional technical support to our valued customers via email and phone, helping them resolve challenges and answer inquiries related to Life Science products and applications.
  • Internal Support: Collaborate closely with our quotes, sales, and marketing teams to ensure they have the technical insights and support they need to serve and educate our customers effectively.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop expertise in our Life Science products and stay updated on industry trends to deliver accurate and valuable information.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Communicate with our suppliers as well as the resources they offer to help guide your conversations with customers and the internal team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's/Ph.D. in the Life Sciences or any of its research fields: Biochemistry, Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, etc.
  • Laboratory experience.
  • Bilingual (French/English).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical writing, customer service, or sales experience is an asset.
  • Proficient computing skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Passion for advancing life sciences and contributing to groundbreaking solutions.
