About the Role
This role demands someone who takes charge, thrives under pressure, and turns ambitious ideas into reality. Producers at Hafu Go are creative-first problem solvers who are obsessed with finding answers, adapting fast, and executing at world-class standards.
You will own the entire production pipeline for our long-form videos, from concept approvals to production execution to final upload. You will make critical decisions daily, protect timelines and budgets, and create viral, large-scale videos that are seen by millions.

Key Responsibilities
Project & Cross-Team Management
- Own the full video pipeline: ideation thumbnail pre-production filming editing upload cross platform distribution
- Manage and update boards, Gantt charts, and production calendars
- Run weekly long-form production check-ins and drive accountability across all departments
Pre-Production
- Translate approved concepts into detailed execution plans
- Build shot lists, production schedules, and resource requirements
- Research and source hard-to-find props, locations, materials, gear, and participants
- Negotiate with vendors, locations, and service providers to secure the best deals
- Prepare and manage budgets for every video
- Draft and manage legal documents (waivers, NDAs, release forms)
Production
- Lead execution on shoot days: logistics, call times, gear management, crew coordination, and live troubleshooting
- Anticipate problems before they happen and implement immediate solutions
- Keep momentum high on set while balancing creative vision with operational discipline
Post-Production & Editing Management
- Manage editing timelines: rough cuts, revisions, and final delivery
- Coordinate file handoffs, folder structures, backups, and labeling
- Ensure seamless collaboration between editors, the creator, and the thumbnail team
Thumbnail Management
- Own the thumbnail production process from concept to delivery
- Collaborate with thumbnail designers to create high-performing, platform-optimized thumbnails
- Maintain and evolve thumbnail strategies based on data, performance, and trends
Team & Contractor Oversight
- Recruit, manage, and schedule freelance shooters, assistants, editors, and designers
- Maintain a vetted roster of contractors with availability, rates, and performance notes
- Oversee daily tasks and maintain accountability for internal team members and freelancers
Collaboration & Outreach
- Research, source, and coordinate external collaborators: creators, experts, companies
- Manage logistics for external guests (travel, accommodation, schedules)
- Represent Hafu Go professionally in all external partnerships
Studio & Workflow Operations
- Oversee gear management, prop organization, and studio cleanliness
- Continuously refine SOPs, workflows, and checklists to drive efficiency
- Build scalable systems to support increasing video volume and team growth
What Makes You a Fit
- 2-4+ years experience in a production or project management role (YouTube, digital media, branded content, or film)
- Proven ability to manage high-stakes, high-velocity projects from start to finish
- Strong communication and leadership instincts, not just management practices
- Excellent at building relationships, negotiating deals, and getting past no
- Deep understanding of balancing creative ideas with operational execution
- Highly organized, solutions-focused, and cool under pressure
- Previous experience working in YouTube environments or a heavy consumer of YouTube content
- Strong budget management skills
- Must be based in Toronto and available full-time, in person
