Our team blends strategic thinking with tactical execution across paid media, retention, creative, and CRO. We don't just advise - we build, optimize, and scale. Now, we're hiring a Director of Client Strategy to own both the strategy and execution of growth across a portfolio of clients.
The Role
As Director of Client Strategy , you will be both the lead strategist and hands-on media buyer across your client accounts. You'll be responsible for scaling performance through Meta, Google, TikTok, and other platforms - while also overseeing how lifecycle, creative, and landing page efforts tie into the broader growth strategy.
You'll collaborate with internal specialists (designers, editors, copywriters, email/SMS experts), but you'll personally own paid media and act as the primary driver of client performance.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Ownership
- Build and lead growth strategies across paid media, retention, and CRO
- Run client calls, deliver reporting, and translate data into clear decisions
- Identify growth opportunities, performance risks, and channel expansion paths
Media Buying (Hands-On)
- Own campaign planning, execution, optimization, and scaling across Meta, Google, TikTok, and other platforms
- Manage significant ad budgets with a performance-first mindset
- Constantly test creative, targeting, and offers to drive improvements in CAC, MER, and LTV
Retention & Lifecycle Oversight
- Lead retention strategy across email and SMS
- Work closely with Klaviyo specialists and copywriters to execute high-performing flows and campaigns
- Tie lifecycle strategy into paid acquisition goals and funnel progression
Team Coordination
- Oversee a cross-functional team including designers, video editors, copywriters, and platform specialists
- Set priorities, provide creative direction, and ensure execution is aligned with strategy
- Maintain accountability and communication across all stakeholders
Financial & Performance Insight
- Understand client business models, cash flow, and key unit economics
- Analyze P&Ls, contribution margins, and funnel-level KPIs to guide spend decisions
- Advise clients on budgeting, product offers, and promotional strategies
Who You Are
- 5+ years of media buying experience (Meta required, Google and TikTok required)
- Experience overseeing or executing email/SMS strategy (ideally with Klaviyo)
- Hands-on knowledge of how to grow and operate a Shopify store
- Strong grasp of finance and economics : you understand P&Ls, cash flow, and how growth impacts the bottom line
- Proven client-facing experience - you've worked directly with founders, CMOs, or Heads of Growth
- Comfortable managing cross-functional teams and leading through influence
- Operate like an owner: proactive, sharp, decisive, and accountable
