• Title: Fullstack Engineer - Front-End Focused
• Experience: 8+ Years
• Location: Toronto, CA (Hybrid)
• Annual Pay: 132K CAD - 135K CAD

Key Skills & Technologies:

8+ years of experience building large-scale, web-based distributed systems

Expertise in Node.JS, HTML5, CSS3 (LESS/SASS), JavaScript, Ajax, and streaming technologies

Strong understanding of REST-based interfaces and storage technologies (relational and NoSQL)

Solid knowledge of web application security, accessibility, site speed optimization, and cross-browser compatibility

Nice to have: Cross-platform UX Design, drag-and-drop functionality, image/video editing, real-time streaming

Role & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Architects, Product Managers, BAs, QEs, and Ops teams to develop innovative solutions
• Work in an Agile environment and be involved in development, testing, release, bug fixes, and documentation
• Utilize tools like JIRA, Git, CI/CD, and internal eBay tools for prioritization and feature delivery
• Deliver high-quality, reusable, and performant front-end experiences for sellers
• Participate in technical design/code reviews and contribute to roadmap planning
• Ensure operational excellence through automation and process controls

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proficiency in JavaScript (scopes, prototype inheritance, closures, promises, async/await, shared memory, transpilers, package management)
• Advanced CSS3 skills (layouts, media queries, transitions, flexbox, preprocessors)
• Hands-on experience with Mocha/Chai for testing, CI/CD integrations (Jenkins), and visual regression tools (Percy)
• Strong knowledge of security, accessibility, site speed optimization, and cross-browser compatibility
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
