JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Credit & Collections Specialist role will require an individual to use creative thinking and problem solving to address complex disputes. This role will be required to interact with all levels within the organizations they support both internally and externally as well as conduct work independently. The qualified candidate will be able to leverage their analytical skills to drive resolution with customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism. This position will include a portfolio on customers in Quebec and excellent French language skills are mandatory.
Position location: This role will be on our hybrid schedule (3 days/week) out of our North Olmsted, Ohio location.
RESPONSIBLIITIES:
What you will be doing
- Manage the collection efforts for specific accounts receivable portfolio.
- Perform intricate research pertaining to customer disputes.
- Process credits for receivables portfolio pertaining to authorized programs and billing discrepancies.
- Identify unwarranted customer patterns and performs root cause analysis to resolve.
- Maintain credit history files.
- Identify delinquent accounts requiring external collection efforts.
- Review orders on credit hold and recommend appropriate course of action.
- Analyze system data to improve Accounts Receivable metrics.
- Assist Director of Credit and Collections with projects as requested
QUALIFICATIONS:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in in reading, writing and speaking in French, preferably French Canadian
- Associate's degree or high school diploma/GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years Finance and/or Credit experience is required
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with ability to maintain positive relationships at all levels
- Must be able to respond effectively to pressure and heavy workloads
- Individual must be detail oriented
- Must be recognized as a team player
- Must possess working knowledge of Word and Excel, graphics. Business Explorer experience preferred
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Familiarity with Amazon and EDI processes is a plus.

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is CA$60,000 to CA$64,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity
