They are currently looking for a Senior DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer to join their Ottawa-based team. This is a high-impact role where you'll shape secure, scalable systems and lead automation initiatives in a hybrid cloud environment. Experience with Dynatrace APM and an active Canadian Secret Clearance are essential.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Integrate and optimize Dynatrace APM for performance monitoring and proactive alerting.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to build robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis for infrastructure issues.
- Ensure systems meet compliance and security standards relevant to public sector clients.
- Produce and maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure, processes, and policies.
Requirements
- Experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Hands-on experience with Dynatrace APM - implementation, usage, and insights.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of security, networking, and infrastructure best practices.
- Canadian Secret Clearance (active and valid).
- Based in Ottawa or willing to commute/work in a hybrid model.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Canadian government or defense clients.
- Relevant certifications (AWS DevOps Pro, CKA, etc.).
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., ITSG-33, NIST).
