Operations Project Manager
Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Operations Project Manager with Stakeholder Assessments, Change Management, Process Documentation Updates, Training Requirements experience to place at our client, a Big Five Bank.

Terms: 12-month contract
Location: Currently 90% remote - Toronto meetings monthly
Role Description:
- The focus will be on Operations Project Management, not IT Project Management. Focus on PMLC rather than SDLC. Scope will include multiple initiatives related to the booking of Letters of Credit between various Commercial and I&CB applications.
- Operational deliverables will include overseeing operational deliverables tied to Stakeholder Assessments, Change Management, Process Documentation Updates, Training Requirements, etc.
- Leads assigned projects from project initiation to implementation to achieve desired business results.
- Ensures that a successful business outcome is the prime measure of project success including delivering projects on time, within budget, within quality standards and to the satisfaction of the project sponsor.
- Drives to mitigate execution risk to achieve the desired business outcomes. Understands the business/group and facilitates communication with other program/project managers and stakeholders efficiently and effectively.
- Direct, manages, and coordinates team members including other projects managers, business and technology resources, user groups, internal and external consultants and contractors, as well as vendors and external regulatory organizations.
Required Skillsets & Experience:
- Advanced knowledge and experience in project and program management, including managing large-scale projects.
- Knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools (e.g. Clarity, MS Project.
- Knowledge of waterfall and agile methodologies, relationship management and consulting skills, solid presentation
- Reports administrative, financial metrics, and project status reports back to Business Sponsors and related
- Manages project or program budget up to value of the approved funding
- Works in close partnership with Finance and key stakeholders for monthly reporting requirements (i.e. Finance)
- Possesses change management skills, including identifying people, processes, and technology implications.
- Identifies and tracks project risk and develops mitigation plans to manage risk (i.e. risk related to technology,
- Delivering solutions on time.
- Identifies project or program drivers, and constraints
- Develops an understanding of organizational complexity to interact and engage with the appropriate matrix areas
Interview Process: Interviews will take place this in two rounds during the same week this month.
