THE ROLE

Come join the PSP team in Montreal!

Fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs are delivered by Personnel Support Programs (PSP) on Bases, Wings and Units across Canada and in deployed operations. PSP delivers evidence-based programs, which contribute to the health and well-being of the military community and operational effectiveness of the CAF.

Under the supervision of the Fitness, Sports and Recreation Manager, as the incumbent you will provide administrative services for the sports store and perform general repairs and maintenance on fitness and sports equipment. You will assist customers, advise customers on the use and care of equipment, and arrange for the installation and de-installation of equipment. In this position, you will distribute, receive, mark and store equipment as required, verify the return of equipment and ensure proper storage. You will also inspect equipment from a safety perspective and take corrective action as required. As the Stores Clerk, you will prepare documentation of equipment defects and related repairs as required, assist in ordering parts for equipment and other items as required, and clean and refurbish returned equipment for reuse or storage.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

High school diploma AND some years of experience in a related field

Experience

In a recreation, fitness facility or similar environment

In providing customer service

In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, email and Internet browsing

Competencies

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership .

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Bilingual (English and French) Essential

Reading: Functional

Writing: Functional

Oral: Functional
