Job Description:

Our client is a well-established company in Vancouver with operations across North America, and they're looking for a seasoned Senior Accountant to join their team! In this role, you'll be the Corporate Controller's go-to person, handling full-cycle accounting and keeping things running smoothly in a fast-paced environment. Deadlines can be tight, so they need someone who thrives under pressure and enjoys tackling complex accounting challenges. If you're up for the challenge and want to be part of a strong, capable team, this could be a great fit! The role is hybrid, with two days a week in their downtown office.

Reporting to the Corporate Controller and working closely with a tight-knit team, this role is all about owning the books for the corporate entities, leading the month-end close, and handling consolidations and financial reporting. You'll also take care of GST/PST filings and keep everything running smoothly on the compliance side. If you're a CPA with strong Excel skills and a keen eye for detail, this is a great opportunity to step into a role where you can make an impact!

Job Requirements:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, along with a Canadian CPA

A minimum of 5+ years of full cycle accounting experience from industry

Experience in the month-end process, financial reporting, consolidation

Proficient with ERP systems such as Sage and advanced knowledge of MS Excel

Some tax experience would be an asset

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Positive attitude, always seeking ways to improve processes and create efficiencies

Organized, intelligent, and a strong team player
