Position: Water Resources (Stormwater) Professional

Location: Ottawa or Guelph (Hybrid work model available)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We are partnering with a respected, 100% employee-owned engineering and design firm to recruit a Water Resources Professional (Engineer, Project Manager, or Technologist) for their growing team in Ottawa or Guelph.

In this role, you will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technologists, and support staff, delivering creative and technically sound solutions for clients across Ontario. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to projects from master planning to detailed design and construction while utilizing advanced stormwater modelling tools.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement stormwater and wastewater solutions for urban development projects

- Use leading stormwater modelling software (e.g., PCSWMM, XPSWMM, HEC-RAS, HY8) to design integrated infrastructure strategies

- Support master planning and detailed design of linear infrastructure to accommodate community growth

- Conduct investigations into flooding risks and identify floodplain areas

- Collaborate with clients to develop tailored design solutions and maintain strong project communication

- Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development efforts

Qualifications:

- Degree or diploma in Civil, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline

- Minimum 10 years of experience in stormwater or water resources engineering

- Proficiency with modelling platforms such as PCSWMM, XPSWMM, HEC-RAS, or similar

- Previous experience with urban land development or municipal infrastructure projects

- Professional designation (P.Eng., CET, or equivalent) is preferred

- Strong communication skills, resourcefulness, and a collaborative mindset
