Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Branch Manager at Vorwerk Canada Ltd. - Thermomix Canada. The Branch Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all operations at the Richmond location. This includes leading and motivating the team, maintaining branch performance, and ensuring efficient day-to-day functioning of the branch to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
What you will do:
Branch Sales Action Plan
- Review weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly Branch action plan.
- Identify & analyze Branch needs to provide a business plan inclusive of projections and actions ensuring the delivery of the company's revenue and profitability targets.
- Identify Branch needs to achieve targets.
- Help Team Leaders create individual success plans, incorporating Team Builder development timelines with a macro focus on growing and splitting into new Branches.
Leadership and Sales Force Development
- Engage, train, mentor and coach Team Leaders to build their skills and capacity to recruit and develop Independent Consultants/Team Builders; providing informal support to actively create a 'Coaching Culture' within the sales community.
- Lead and monitor Team Leader development towards leadership targets and career progression, offer opportunities and manage underperformance as necessary.
- Recruit, integrate, and develop Team Leaders and consultants.
- Develop individual Team Leader success plans.
- Collaborate with the Sales Trainer & GM to plan the annual training requirements for Branch, keeping Customer, Consultant & Leader programs as the centerpiece for future Branch growth.
Leadership
- Lead all Team Leaders and Team Builders in the assigned Branch by agreeing and following up objectives, analyzing performance levels, developing measures for improvement and personal coaching / support according to the company defined procedures.
- Assist the assigned Team Leaders and Team Builders in developing their own leadership capabilities by practical day-to-day support.
- Ensuring the weekly collection and compilation of all relevant data from the Branch.
Communication and Vision
- In cooperation with the GM, develop & communicate a clear and compelling Branch Vision; incorporating company values, objectives, and clarity of individual Consultant, Team Leader and Team Builder roles and requirements.
- Ensure that business initiatives and activities are well communicated, consistently implemented and executed by conducting regular structured Team and Branch meetings.
- Communicate & engage the field in Branch Calendar of Events and Meeting and Training schedules.
- Develop and maintain effective communication mechanisms, utilizing technology and social platforms to build trust with the field and sustain a climate for offering information, motivation and gauging the Branch climate and feedback, and to collect and share best-in-field practices.
- Network with key stakeholders, building local partnerships to promote Thermomix initiatives, create opportunities and drive Branch growth.
- Conduct regular Business Opportunity presentation according to the company calendar.
- Supervise and control (in the field) the practical training of all Newcomers by the Team Leaders; in case of own team doing this personally.
- Identify candidates for future Team Leaders and support/develop them by personal coaching.
- Ensuring the proper dismissal of in-active Consultants.
Training activities
- Conduct the Newcomer training.
- Execute the training of Team Leader / Team Builder candidates according to the company standard.
- Ensuring the preparation and execution of the training part in each team meeting-team call according to actual needs of the sales force in close cooperation with the GM / Sales Trainer.
Branch Activation
- Participate in regular business meetings with GM and Management Team to review Branch plans, setting and achieving net sales growth, recruitment, actives targets, and additional target KPIs.
- Partner with Branch Managers and Team Leaders to implement activities for driving all incentive programs and promotions - monthly customer, consultant and leadership initiatives.
- Utilize company systems to evaluate and analyze and report on progress to target, reviewing of plans, activities, processes and performance to continuously improve practice/results.
- Monitor and manage Branch budgets including expenditure strategy and approval.
- Support the management of customer, consultant and leadership issues and complaints in conjunction with Customer Service Team, communication process and outcomes with related parties.
- Facilitate all on-boarding training to Thermomix Consultants and Team Leaders, from conducting Business Opportunity events, to Cooking Experience and Skills Workshops.
- Support the team in safe food handling practices, participating in certification as required.
- Co-ordinate with Marketing Team / GM to attend and when required represent company at local trade shows and community events.
- Participate consistently in Team activities to gauge Consultant and Customer satisfaction and Brand representation.
- Conduct regular field observation activities in Branch to enable quality assurance, leadership coaching and performance review.
Meetings
- Prepare, organize, and conduct the Team Meeting-Team call for all Consultants and Team leaders according to company standard to assure interesting content and high attendance rate.
Branch Weekly Calendar
- Develop and implement weekly branch calendar consisting of in-person and virtual: meetings, activities, cooking classes, discovery, opportunity, and training events.
Day-to-Day Branch activities
- Budget (recruitment, activity, productivity).
- Prepare, organize and conduct regular offline and online customer cooking classes according to the defined concept including the ordering and proper storage of ingredients.
- Ensure the proper standard of order, cleanliness, safety and functionality of equipment of the Branch office.
- Maintain a welcoming, clean, and organized Branch environment each day, recognizing the Branch not only as a workplace but as a home base for Consultants. Ensure shared spaces are tidy, functional, and conducive to collaboration and professional development. Act as a role model in maintaining high standards for cleanliness and encourage a collective sense of ownership and care among the team.
What you will bring:
- Demonstrated Sales experience (preferred Direct Sales/ Cooking Appliance)
- English proficient (Chinese would be a plus)
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic Internet skills
- Analytical abilities (KPI/Budgets)
- High sense of responsibility & commitment to agreed goals, success oriented
- Strong communication skills: good listener, clear communication style, ease at public speaking & training situations
