Dainty Foods is seeking a results-driven, strategic National Account Manager (NAM) to lead key regional or national accounts in our consumer-packaged goods portfolio. You'll be responsible for driving sales, profit, and long-term growth while building strong partnerships with leading retailers. This is a high-impact, remote role for a self-starter with exceptional analytical, negotiation, and relationship skills.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Business Management
- Own and deliver annual sales and profit targets
- Lead strategic customer business planning
- Manage multiple complex accounts and customer P&Ls
- Drive performance in forecasting, trade, merchandising, and pricing
- Use syndicated data to uncover growth opportunities
- Oversee broker relationships (Quebec NAM only)
Leadership & Strategic Execution
- Lead national or multi-category sales budgets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Supply Chain, Product Dev.)
- Support new product launches and IN/OUT programs
- Drive initiatives aligned with Dainty's strategic objectives
Sales & Negotiation
- Translate insights into actionable strategies and sales tools
- Maximize trade investments and marketing plans
- Negotiate programs and customer agreements to meet goals
Relationship Building
- Cultivate strong, credible customer relationships
- Act as a trusted partner with deep market understanding
- Solve pricing, supply chain, and quality concerns proactively
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field
- 5+ years in CPG sales or key account management
Skills & Strengths
- Strong financial and business acumen (P&L, trade, budgeting)
- Advanced analytical and Excel/data platform skills
- Confident negotiator and persuasive communicator
- Detail-oriented, organized, and independent
- Bilingual (French/English) preferred for Quebec NAM
