Insight Global is looking for a Sales Manager to support their client in the retail space. The role would be sitting out of Chilliwack, BC, Canada working Monday - Friday. This individual will be supporting and manager the clients sales team which included 6 sales associate. This role will involved some sales requirements as well (i.e. making sells) but most importantly will be growing and exceeded sales team metrics and success.
Qualifications:
-5+ years experience within a managerial role
-Proven track record of meeting and exceeding assigned individual and team sales targets
-Exceptional negotiation skills, particularly for price-sensitive customers.
-Leadership abilities to mentor and elevate team performance.
-Market intelligence to adapt to changing customer and competitor landscape
Responsibilities:
1. End-to-End Sales Ownership: Manage the full sales process for all leads, from initial inquiry to post-sale follow-up.
2. Proactive Lead Generation: Supplement the inbound pipeline by networking, pursuing partnerships (e.g., architects, designers), and identifying referral opportunities.
3. High-Stakes Closing: amongst working with standard projects, also take responsibility for closing complex or high-value deals where advanced negotiation skills are required (e.g. B2B pergola projects).
4. Tailored Solutions: Work closely with customers to craft highly personalized solutions, including custom configurations and premium upgrades.
5. Upselling Focus: Drive sales of complementary products like screens, lighting, or additional accessories to maximize order value.
6. Team Mentorship & Training: Coach team members on advanced sales techniques, objection handling, and strategies for increasing AOV. Shape a winning sales team by having responsibility for team sales performance and KPI achievements.
7. Market Feedback: Provide actionable insights to leadership about pricing trends, competitor offerings, and customer expectations.
8. Sales Exhibitions: Scout, plan and attend relevant exhibitions for a whole market and events to showcase our products, sell to customers, and increase brand exposure.
9. Competitor Knowledge: Drive competition analysis in your market and train others to communicate it effectively to customers. Proactively find ways to identify new competitors.
