About the Position:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Account Manager will lead the account development and strategy to achieve and exceed predetermined sales objectives to support the growth of the company's business while selling products to a select group of large mass retail accounts. They are skilled at building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers and work to provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead account planning for the year alongside the Analytics Lead to drive sales growth, increase margins, and increase customer satisfaction.
- Be accountable for the long-term planning and the execution of the account sales plan.
- Lead account business development, work with the internal team and account buyers to expand sales opportunities and enable deeper customer relationships.
- Work with and through the account team, including merchandising, sales intelligence, analysts, retail strategy, purchasing, logistics, etc., to deliver sales, margin targets, customer satisfaction and innovation.
- Be accountable for the quality of the products we deliver to stores.
- Work with Process Improvement team members to deliver efficiency to the account's workflow, enabling smoother processes and maximizing sales opportunities.
- Communicate with buyers to provide sales updates, listen to feedback, and professionally represent Bayview.
Requirements
- A strong communicator and leader who knows how to get results through the collective efforts of a team.
- Diligent planner but also highly adaptive to change; a creative problem-solver.
- Business management mindset, with the ability to see opportunities where others do not and innovate internally.
- Strong financial acumen, strong understanding of sales account management.
- Quick learner, self-starter, knows how to lead, and follows direction carefully.
- Floral knowledge or previous experience in the floral industry would be an important asset.
- University Degree or College Diploma in business, sales or other related fields.
- 5+ years in account management or brand management.
