Job Description:

Are you looking for a position with a successful Real Estate organization? Do you have experience in Corporate Accounting in a Real Estate environment? Our Scarborough real estate client is a private well run organization going through a period of growth. Currently, they are looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor with prior exposure to either industrial, office, or retail properties.

Key responsibilities will include:

General / Corporate Accounting Functions , including but not limited to:

Daily monitoring of bank accounts, including transfers between the companies to ensure availability of funds, cheques verifications.

Financial planning in accordance with the timeline of cash inflow and outflow and presenting this information to key stakeholders.

Supervising, training and leading Junior Team Members and Senior Accountants.

Assisting with internal controls design and implementation, including (1) making recommendations for process improvements, (2) assisting in maintaining and updating systems to support business needs, and (3) Assisting in developing and maintaining best practices and consistency in accounting processes, procedures and workflow.

Vendor Management (payment systems, accounting software systems, etc.)

Preparing Corporate HST returns when required.

Job Requirements:

You must be a Designated Accountant ( or close to designation ) with at least 3+ years of Corporate or Property Accounting experience in order to apply.

You are results oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and don't mind rolling up your sleeves and pitching in wherever required.
