    WORK LOCATION: Oakville Facility, In-Person

    The role, your impact:

    Under the leadership of the Plant Manager, you will contribute to the following challenges:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the QA team in implementing FSQA policies, HACCP plans, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage FSQA meetings, initiatives, and issue resolution strategies.
  • Maintain and optimize FSQA programs, procedures, and certification standards, including HACCP and BRC.
  • Identify and address FSQA issues proactively through corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to support change management and operational readiness from a quality standpoint.
  • Serve as the main contact for CFIA and other regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed QA performance reports.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance in sanitation, pest control, food safety, and documentation processes.
  • Foster a quality-first culture through visibility, trust, and support across teams.
  • Align department deliverables with Olymel's long-term corporate objectives.

    • What You Bring to the Role:

  • Education: University degree in Food Science or a related discipline
  • Experience: 4-6 years in Quality Assurance, preferably in the meat industry, with experience in HACCP and regulatory standards
  • Skills: Proven leadership, strong communication, solid QA and documentation knowledge, tech-savvy, and professionally confident with auditors; BRC certification (or willingness to obtain)
