We are currently recruiting an experienced Project Engineer/Manager to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry. This is approximately a 2 - 3 year contract term position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Program Start through OEM Equipment Delivery / Retool
  • Manage and work independently all launch project timing
  • Lead the equipment readiness including machine try out and part ordering process and tracking of status
  • Track and report on supplier scorecards and deliverables
  • Meeting coordination for program & project timing (MS Excel/MS Project). Summarizing key milestones with monthly, weekly, and daily templates including manpower, planning for installation and commission activities
  • Lead and support updates on project deliverables (budget/timelines). Update project cost tracking and report on deviations
  • Lead and support engineering change control activities, issue management tracking and closures
  • Collaborate with system, component product, manufacturing and support teams on launch activities
  • Manage and work independently on all post launch activities including:Lead and support coordination of pre-production build activity, program scorecard and review launch readiness through buy off
  • Lead and support production trial run activity including serial number tracking, issue documentation and engineering review follow up
  • Utilize machine monitoring reporting tools (FIS, IIOT) to support new program team through completion of launch (Rate of Climb)

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree in relevant Business / Engineering Technology field or Engineering degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of Program Engineer/Management experience in a high-volume, automotive production manufacturing environment. Preference given to candidates with previous equipment installation, launch readiness, and buy-off experience with an OEM
  • Demonstrated experience with managing the budget of projects and adhering to project timelines
  • Accustomed to leading supplier and customer meetings and reporting on issues/challenges
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
