4-8 Years Corporate Commercial Real Estate Associate Lawyer - Calgary
DLA Piper (Canada) LLP is currently seeking a talented mid to senior-level associate with 4-8 years' experience in Corporate Commercial and Commercial Real Estate law. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in handling a range of commercial real estate transactions, including land acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, and land development, combined with solid corporate commercial expertise. You will be a self-starter, collaborative, and thrive in a collegial environment. This is a rare and valuable opportunity to join a top global firm in Calgary.
Specifically, the successful candidate's skills and experience will include advising clients on commercial real estate matters such as leases (for both landlords and tenants), purchase and sale of commercial properties, and development-related issues. You will also advise on corporate structuring and corporate governance, draft commercial agreements, support tax reorganizations, and handle a variety of commercial transactions. Experience in banking and secured lending would be an asset.
The work will be complex and interesting - our clients are blue chip and highly sophisticated. They include public companies, developers, investors, commercial landlords and tenants, and privately held companies. Experience from a national, international, or highly regarded law firm and/or in-house role is highly desirable. The team is made up of high performing and dedicated practitioners who are collegial, bright and committed to producing excellent results for our client. You will take a lead role on matters, working closely with our Real Estate and Corporate Partners and Associates.
