Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Sales Development Manager based in Montreal, QC, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Sales Development Manager will be responsible for managing the top of the funnel and sales operations, and leading the sales development team. Day-to-day tasks include identifying potential customers, developing SDR sequences, coaching SDR to improve their lead to deal conversion ratio and provide feedback to Marketing in improving our inbound activities. The role also involves regular communication with clients and team members to streamline sales processes and improve overall sales performance.

Responsibilities

Inbound Lead Management

  • Lead Qualification: Ensure fast response times and proper scoring based on ICP
  • Routing: Assign qualified leads to appropriate AEs or nurture if not sales-ready.
  • CRM Hygiene: Maintain clean, enriched lead records in HubSpot.

Trade Show & Event Lead Management

  • Pre-Event Strategy: Align with Marketing on event goals, messaging, and lead capture workflows.
  • Post-Event Follow-Up: Define and enforce SLAs for SDRs to engage within 24-48 hours post-show.

Pipeline & Performance Oversight

  • Top-of-Funnel Metrics: Track lead-to-MQL, MQL-to-SQL, response time, and booked meetings.
  • Forecasting: Report weekly on SDR pipeline creation (by source, campaign, territory).

Team Leadership & Enablement

  • Coaching: Run weekly 1:1s and call reviews; train SDRs on Prevu3D's value prop
  • Hiring & Onboarding: Recruit high-output SDRs familiar with industrial/CAD tech.

Process & Tech Stack Ownership

  • Tooling: Optimize use of HubSpot, SalesLoft/Outreach, calendar booking tools, enrichment APIs
  • Automation: Implement workflows to reduce manual SDR tasks (e.g., enrichment, task creation).

Qualifications

  • Must be based in Montreal, QC
  • Strong Communication skills to interact with clients and team members
  • Lead Generation and Sales skills to identify and secure new business opportunities
  • Experience in Team Management to lead and develop the sales development team
  • Proficiency in Sales Operations to manage and organize sales activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in the software, technology or manufacturing industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
