Profile: Our client is a commercial printer looking to hire a Montreal-based Director of Sales to manage a team of sales people and customer service who sell across Canada. You will be someone with sales management experience and have sold either printing or packaging. The person we seek is exceptional in coaching senior reps and using the technical/computer tools available to you. Please submit your resume in English.

Workplace: Work from home (Montreal area)

Products/Services: Printing services

Salary: Base $120,000-$150,000

Commissions/Bonus: 20% on base

Car allowance: $/km

Expense's reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

Functions:

  • Manage and develop a team of sales professionals, including sales reps, account managers, and customer service
  • Identify hiring needs and collaborate with HR to bring in top talent.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth and exceed company targets.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and strong funnel management
  • Use sales analytics to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth
  • Create a strategy for new business acquisition
  • Work closely with your team to establish a strategy for upselling and crosselling the existing customer base
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
  • Use the company CRM to produces reports and make business decisions for your territory
  • Run and animate regular sales meetings
  • Perform regular 1 on 1's

Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 50% vs 50%

Road vs Office: 20% vs 80%

Languages: French and English (written and spoken)

Education: College degree preferred in business, sales, or marketing

Training: Will attend various training sessions

Overnight Travel: Up to 20% overnight travel

Years of experience: At least 10 years of experience in sales management and new business development

Other requirements: Has demonstrated strong coaching skills

Transferable contacts: N/A

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the printing industry is a big asset
  • Knowledge of the packaging industry is an asset
