Sr. Project Engineer - Food Manufacturing

Location: Toronto, ON

We are currently seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to join a growing food manufacturing company based in the Greater Toronto Area. This role will focus on the execution of capital projects, with a strong emphasis on packaging line installations and equipment upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage capital projects from design through commissioning.
• Oversee the installation, integration, and optimization of packaging lines and production equipment.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Prepare project scopes, budgets, schedules, and status reports.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and food quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment and process performance.
• Support troubleshooting efforts for packaging and processing equipment when needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
• 5+ years of project engineering experience in food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG).
• Proven track record leading capital equipment projects and packaging line installs.
• Strong understanding of food safety and GMP requirements.
• Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
