Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Health & Safety Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining Corebuild's Health & Safety Policy.
• Participate in the creation and delivery of safety training programs and maintain related documentation.
• Update and manage the Health and Safety manual as policies and practices evolve.
• Conduct or assist with training and orientation for new hires.
• Support management in developing safe operational procedures and identifying/remedying hazards.
• Order Health & Safety supplies and track subcontractor documentation for project sites.
• Assist with workplace hazard assessments, COR audits (internal/external), and claims management.
• Track and develop training metrics; maintain and update forms/resources on SiteDocs.
• Support workplace investigations, inspections, and other duties as required.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years' experience in a safety role within a construction environment.
• Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related legislation.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; self-motivated and professional.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office.
• Valid G driver's license.
• COR auditing experience, SiteDocs or similar H&S platform experience, and JHSC certification are assets.

Education

• Diploma, certificate, or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline, or at least 2 years of relevant field experience.
